Strategy to Execution across the technology-business lifecycle

Technology business executive whose career spans digital infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, commerce and AI across consulting and engineering, as both a senior operating leader and Non-Executive Director.

David Reitman’s career has followed the commercial evolution of technology, from Internet infrastructure and data centers through cloud platforms, SaaS and digital commerce, digital engineering and consulting, and now AI. The through-line is not a single product category. It is the ability to identify white space, make the opportunity concrete, build the commercial and technology model, assemble the ecosystem and team, and lead through execution and scale.

Much of that work has been in the industries where innovation is born: TMT and Games. Games became David’s deepest specialization at Accenture and PwC, but the underlying work has always been broader: infrastructure and cloud, software and platforms, commerce and customer engagement, engineering and managed services, security, ecosystems and alliances, and emerging technology. In demanding technology markets, those capabilities are often stress-tested early and then transferred into adjacent sectors.

Across leadership roles at PwC, Accenture, SAP Hybris, Equinix and AT&T, David has built businesses and industry practices, carried P&L and quota, led global teams and client programs, commercialized platforms and services, and created partner and co-sell models. In parallel, he has served as a Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor to growth companies, working with founders and CEOs on fiduciary governance, capital formation, product and monetization strategy, succession and strategic transactions.

The common pattern is simple: read where the market is going, determine what the business needs to win there, and build the strategy, technology capabilities, commercial model and ecosystem required to turn the opportunity into a business at scale.

Shaped foundational backend technology and business operations for the platforms that became World of Warcraft, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live during early roles at AT&T and Equinix.

Cloud Gaming Pioneer

As VP of Business Development at Gaikai, developed the cloud gaming offering and go-to-market strategy, executing global content deals. The company was acquired by Sony and became PlayStation Now.

Digital Commerce

Scaled white-label commerce-as-a-service for game publishers to over $400M gross merchandise value

At Digital River, led the Commerce-as-a-Service business for gaming publishers, scaling EA Origin to over $400M gross merchandise value, as well as Ubisoft (Uplay), Square Enix, and Xbox’s PC Game Store. Later, as Global VP Digital Commerce at SAP Hybris, designed the commerce and digital supply chain vision for Sony’s PlayStation Store transformation, secured the Hybris license, and led the selection of the services firm to deliver it.

Enterprise Strategy

Games lead at the world’s largest consultancies

Built and led gaming industry practices at both Accenture and PwC, helping game publishers, platforms, and studios with strategy, technology transformation, and service delivery across the value chain.

AI & Game Development

Pioneering AI across the video game value chain

Before AI became an industry buzzword, designed and implemented production-grade AI solutions across the game development lifecycle: dev pipelines, white/black/gray box testing, player engagement, personalized advertising, trust and safety, and developer support, where the ROI is immediate and measurable.
